Let’s get started ↗

INSURANCE REPAIRS

An accident is stressful.
Your next step can be simple.

ASL carries out insurance-funded bodywork and paint repairs in Watford for fault and non-fault claims. Tell us what happened and we’ll explain the next steps for getting your vehicle assessed and repaired.

01 / FAULT CLAIMS

Claiming on your insurance?

If you’re responsible for the accident, or responsibility is still being decided, speak to us about the damage. We can assess the repair and prepare an estimate for consideration by your insurer.

Repairs through your own policy depend on your cover and insurer’s authorisation. Ask your insurer to confirm any excess before work is agreed.

02 / NON-FAULT CLAIMS

Was another driver responsible?

We also carry out repairs following non-fault accidents. Share your claim reference, if you have one, and let us know who is handling your claim so we can discuss the repair assessment.

The repair and payment arrangements need to be agreed with the insurer or claims handler before work starts. You can contact us while liability is still being reviewed.

Discuss a non-fault repair ↗

From first call to collection.

  1. 01

    Tell us what happened

Call or send an enquiry with your registration, the damage and any claim reference. Notify your insurer in line with your policy.

  2. 02

    Assess the damage

We’ll discuss an inspection and the estimate needed to establish the repair work.

  3. 03

    Agree & repair

Once the repair scope and funding are authorised, we can confirm the booking and discuss timing and parts availability.

  4. 04

    Complete & collect

After the agreed repairs and final checks, we’ll arrange collection and explain any agreed payment due.

A LITTLE CLARITY

Your insurance
repair questions.

Talk to ASL ↗
Can I ask for ASL to repair my car?

Yes—tell your insurer you would like ASL to assess and repair your vehicle. Confirm their authorisation process and any policy conditions, additional excess or changes to benefits before booking the work.

What if I don’t know who was at fault?

You can still contact us about the damage. Your insurer or claims handler will deal with liability; we can discuss the vehicle assessment while that is being resolved.

Will I have to pay an excess?

That depends on your policy and how the claim is handled. An excess may still be payable on a non-fault claim. Ask your insurer or claims handler to confirm what you owe and whether recovery is possible.

What should I have ready?

Your registration, contact details, a brief description of the damage, and your insurer or claims handler’s name and claim reference if available. We’ll let you know if photos or an inspection are needed.

Can I pay privately instead?

Yes. We also assess privately funded repairs. Ask us for an estimate so you can consider your options, and check any accident-reporting requirements with your insurer.
